- Handing-in: Wednesday 29 November, between 9.30 & 12.30 at the Gallery Upstairs
- When bringing in artwork that has been selected, you may if you wish submit up to 20 greetings cards of your own work properly presented with envelopes and in cellophane and with just your name and price clearly shown. Do not use titles and please make them all the same price rounded off to 50p. Also, please do NOT replenish any cards from the original 20. There will be no commission charged on greetings card sales.
- The Launch Party / Preview will take place on Saturday 2 December between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm when the prize money will be awarded.
- 20% commission will be charged on all artwork sales (except greetings cards).
- All 2-dimensional works must be suitably framed, or on unframed canvas, and must be fitted with mirror plates half way down each side. This is a requirement of the insurers regarding public liability and work will be rejected if not mirror-plated. Metal or clip frames will not be acceptable. All frames must be in sound and clean condition.
- Three-dimensional works must be free-standing or capable of being hung from the cross-beams. On the grounds of safety, all 3D work must be either light in weight or very stable and not capable of being pushed over. The organisers will risk assess work if necessary and reject if not suitable.
- Please ensure all works are clearly labelled on reverse with title, name of artist, medium and price. In addition, for cataloguing purposes, please attach a second label on string to hang over the front of the piece (to assist in labelling).
- All selected entrants must agree to steward the exhibition for at least one half day. You are responsible for arranging someone else to cover for you if necessary. Please note, if you fail to turn up for stewarding and do not organise a substitute, you might be responsible for the closure of the Gallery for that half day. Please bring your diary to reserve your stewarding dates when submitting your work. If you wish to secure your choice of stewarding date in advance please contact: caroljohn1976@gmail.com ; 01202 625627.
- Whilst reasonable care will be taken, PEDAS and The Gallery Upstairs are not responsible for the security of your work. Entrants will be responsible for insuring their work if they so wish.
- The successful entrants will need to collect their unsold work at the close of the exhibition on Thursday 21 December between 9:30 am and 1:00 pm. Any uncollected work will be disposed of.
- By entering this exhibition you accept that your work may be photographed by gallery visitors or used by PEDAS or The Gallery Upstairs for publicity purposes.
- Public liability insurance: All non-PEDAS artists will have to either show they have £10 million public liability insurance or sign our declaration. Please sign the declaration, which we will email to you, and give to us when handing in your work.
